OpenHearing is building the operating system for modern hearing care practices. Starting with conversational intelligence, the platform captures and understands what happens across the patient journey — helping hearing care teams cut down on documentation time, coach providers, spot missed opportunities, and make better decisions.

The platform is already live across 700+ clinics, has processed 200,000+ appointments, and analyzed over 6 million minutes of patient conversations.





The Opportunity
As one of the first engineers on the team, you'll work across conversational intelligence, OMS (clinic operations), and automation layers — spanning frontend, backend, and AI agent development depending on where the need is greatest. This is a foundational hire: you will directly help shape both the engineering and company culture.

What You'll Do
Autonomously ship robust, well-structured, scalable code across the stack

Design, build, and maintain high-performance systems with security, alerting, and monitoring built in from the start

Own system stability and reliability — participate in code/design reviews and rotate through on-call

Communicate async and clearly with a distributed team split across US and India time zones

Contribute to whichever of OMS, conversational intelligence, or automation tooling the roadmap needs most at the time
