In FMCG, BTL (Below-the-Line) refers to targeted, on-ground marketing and sales activation designed to directly engage consumers, drive product trials, increase retail visibility, and boost sales at the point of purchase. The Merchandiser Executive supports this on-the-ground effort by executing retail visibility, in-store demonstrations, dealer engagement, and merchandising activities across assigned outlets, reporting to the BTL Manager/Sales Officer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Consumer Activation Plan and execute product sampling campaigns. Conduct in-store demonstrations. Organise roadshows, kiosks, and mall activations.



Manage promotional events. 2. Retail Visibility Ensure proper Point-of-Sale Material (POSM) placement. Monitor branding at retail outlets. Improve shelf visibility and merchandising. Coordinate display contests.

3. Trade Marketing Execute retailer incentive schemes. Support distributor promotions. Implement seasonal promotional campaigns. Coordinate dealer engagement activities. 4. Event Management Plan local marketing events. Coordinate with agencies and vendors. Manage event logistics. Ensure brand guidelines are followed. 5. Performance Tracking Measure campaign effectiveness. Analyse sales uplift. Prepare post-campaign reports. Recommend improvements. 6. Cross-functional Coordination Work closely with Sales teams. Coordinate with Brand Marketing. Liaise with Supply Chain for promotional materials. Support distributors and channel partners.
