Senior QA Engineer – Automation (Playwright)

About the Role

We are looking for a
Senior QA Engineer
with strong experience in functional testing and
Playwright Automation using TypeScript
. The candidate will be responsible for test strategy, automation framework development, API/DB testing, CI/CD integration, and QA delivery in an Agile environment.

Must-Have Skills
- 5–8 years
of QA experience in web-based applications.
- 3+ years hands-on Playwright with TypeScript
.
- Strong experience in
functional, regression, integration, smoke, exploratory, and UAT testing
.
- Experience designing and scaling
automation frameworks from scratch
.
- Strong knowledge of
Playwright, POM, cross-browser testing, and TypeScript
.
- Hands-on
API testing using Postman
; knowledge of REST, SOAP, and Swagger.
- Good
SQL/database testing
experience.
- Experience with
Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps CI/CD
and Git.




- Solid knowledge of
ADO
– work items, pipelines, and test plans.
- Understanding of
STLC, Agile/Scrum/Kanban, risk-based and exploratory testing
.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and
client-facing experience
.
- Advanced
Playwright MCP and Playwright Agent
experience.
- AI-assisted testing experience.

Good-to-Have
- Prior
Selenium
experience with exposure to migration/enhancement to Playwright.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.
- Build and maintain scalable Playwright automation frameworks.
- Automate UI and API test scenarios and integrate them with CI/CD.
- Perform API and database validation.
- Manage defects, QA reporting, and release quality.
- Collaborate with Product, Development, and Business teams.
- Mentor QA team members and drive QA best practices.
