Job Description –Mechanical Design Engineer (Mechanical Press)

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Design and develop heavy machinery, machine assemblies, and special purpose machinery (SPM) using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
n
- Prepare 2D drawing/ 3D models, detail drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, GA drawings, and manufacturing drawings.
n
- Maintain drawing revisions and documentation as per company procedures.
n
- Calculation and engineering documentation.
n
- Ensure designs comply with customer specifications, engineering standards, and manufacturing requirements.
n

Required Technical Skills

n

n
- High level Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D Drafting).
n
- Proficiency in SolidWorks for fabricated and machined components/ assemblies
n
- Understanding of material selection and basic engineering calculations.
n




- Good understanding of GD&T; and engineering drawing standards.
n
- Knowledge of fabrication, machining, assembly, and other manufacturing processes.
n
- FEA knowledge is preferred
n

Qualification

n

n
- B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
n

n

Experience

n

n
- 4–8 years of experience in Mechanical Design using SolidWorks and AutoCAD in the Heavy Engineering or Machine Building industry.
n

n

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
n
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team setting.
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
n
- Knowledge of SAP systems will be an added advantage.
n
- Knowledge about auxiliary systems such as pneumatics/hydraulics/lubrication is added advantage
