A global landscape architecture and engineering practice in Indiranagar is hiring an Associate Landscape Architect & Studio Manager with an experience range of 10-15 years, to lead landscape architecture projects and oversee the day-to-day operations of its Bengaluru studio.
The role combines senior-level landscape design and project leadership with responsibility for studio operations, resource planning, team management, administrative coordination, and professional standards. The position will work with senior leadership and coordinate with teams across different locations.
Project Exposure

- Public realm and streetscapes
- Waterfronts and beaches
- Parks and civic spaces
- Hospitality and entertainment
- Residential and gardens
- Mixed-use developments
- Cultural and institutional projects
- Play and sports environments
Key Responsibilities
- Lead conceptual landscape design across projects of varying scales and typologies.
- Manage multiple landscape architecture projects from bid stage through project completion.
- Develop design solutions in line with project scope, programme, budget, quality, and technical requirements.
- Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements, review designs, and resolve project issues.
- Lead project briefings, design reviews, and coordination meetings with clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure project delivery complies with applicable authority requirements and established quality standards.
- Monitor project progress and financial performance and report to senior management as required.
- Mentor and develop junior and mid-level landscape architecture team members.
- Coordinate with other disciplines and studio teams to support integrated project delivery and resource sharing.
- Oversee staffing levels, workload distribution, and studio capacity in coordination with relevant team leads.
- Coordinate with business support and HR teams on administrative, staffing, financial, IT, and operational matters for the Bengaluru studio.
- Lead staff engagement, performance management, and professional development activities within the studio.
- Act as the primary point of escalation for studio-level operational, administrative, and staff matters.
- Support recruitment and onboarding of new team members in coordination with the HR function.
- Ensure the studio maintains required qualified, confidentiality, and compliance standards.
- Represent the Bengaluru studio in relevant professional networks, industry forums, and stakeholder engagements.
Requirements
- B.Arch & masters degree in Landscape Architecture from a recognised institution.
- Minimum 12 years of relevant professional experience in landscape architecture.
- At least 3 years of experience in a senior leadership or design management role.
- Professional affiliation and/or recognised landscape architecture certification will be an advantage.
- Experience managing a design studio, landscape architecture team, or office while handling project responsibilities.
- Experience managing multiple projects with responsibility for programme, budget, quality, and client coordination.
- Experience with client management, financial monitoring, resource planning, and project delivery.
- Understanding of landscape design development, project delivery, and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Experience coordinating with clients, consultants, authorities, and project stakeholders.
- Proficiency in relevant landscape design and project management software.
- Experience working with international design teams or projects in the Middle East, South Asia, or other international markets will be an advantage.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with geographically distributed teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for internal and external stakeholder management.
Work Schedule
- Location: Indiranagar, Bangalore
- Working days: Monday - Friday (9:00 AM - 6:30 PM)
