Subject: Freelance Textile Designer – Soulmaed

We’re building the textile story for Soulmaed’s upcoming Summer- Resort collection- and are looking for an experienced Freelance Textile Designer to collaborate with us.

Soulmaed is a contemporary womenswear label by DKH Apparels LLP, creating design- led clothing in natural fabrics.

The project will involve developing a cohesive palette of 6-10 fabrics- a considered mix of custom weaves, sourced solids and original prints. You’ll help us explore suitable natural fibres, colours, weaves, GSMs and finishes; develop prints where required; connect with relevant weavers, mills and printers; and review samples through final selection.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

* 4+ years of relevant textile-design experience, preferably within natural fabrics

* Robust knowledge of weave, fabric and print development

* Experience working directly with weavers, mills,



printers or textile organisations

* An existing sourcing network and an understanding of small-batch development

* A balance of creative thinking, technical knowledge and commercial practicality

This is a paid, project-based freelance opportunity. While the engagement will largely be flexible, a few in-person meetings in Faridabad will be required at key development stages.
