Job Description Job Summary: We are looking for a creative and experienced Graphic Designer with a background in the publishing industry to join our team. The ideal candidate should be skilled in designing book layouts, covers, and promotional materials, with a solid understanding of the visual requirements for print and digital publishing. The candidate should also have experience in managing multiple projects, collaborating with editorial and production teams, and delivering high-quality design work within tight deadlines.
n Key Responsibilities:
n · Design and layout book covers, interior pages, and eBooks in line with publishing standards.
n · Collaborate closely with editors, authors, and the production team to ensure cohesive visual storytelling.
n · Create visually appealing promotional materials, such as brochures, banners, and marketing graphics for both print and digital platforms.
n · Ensure all designs meet the technical requirements for printing, including colour management, resolution, and file formatting.
n · Develop concepts and design strategies that align with the company's branding and publishing vision.
n · Revise designs based on feedback from internal stakeholders, maintaining a high standard of quality throughout the process.
n · Stay updated on design trends and emerging technologies relevant to publishing.
n · Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
n · Prepare files for print production,

n Requirements:
n · Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
n · Proven experience (5+ years) as a Graphic Designer in the publishing industry.
n · Proficiency in design software such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other relevant tools.
n · Strong portfolio showcasing design work related to book covers, layouts, and promotional materials.
n · Solid understanding of print production processes, including prepress preparation and file management.
n · Ability to handle multiple projects with attention to detail and meet strict deadlines.
n · Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
n · Creativity, innovation, and problem-solving abilities in visual design.
n Preferred Qualifications:
n · Experience with digital publishing formats (eBooks, interactive PDFs).
n · Familiarity with typography and layout design for longform content.
n · Basic knowledge of web design and social media graphics.
n · Experience working with content management systems (CMS) for publishing.
