About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to support the Finance & Accounts function. The candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting activities, voucher entries, documentation, vendor bill verification, cash and bank transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
Perform day-to-day voucher entries in Tally, including proper use of cost centres and cost categories.
Verify bills, invoices, payment vouchers, and supporting documents before processing.
Maintain basic knowledge of TDS provisions, deductions, challans, and applicable rates.
Prepare and maintain the Cheque Issue Register.
Maintain proper documentation of project-related expenses.
Ensure systematic filing, indexing, and safe custody of financial documents.
Record and maintain cash and bank transactions accurately.
Verify vendor bills and ensure all required supporting documents are attached.
Maintain proper records of advances issued to staff/vendors and ensure timely settlement.
Perform other finance and accounting-related duties assigned by the Finance Manager.
Required Skills
Valuable knowledge of Tally and basic accounting principles.
Understanding of TDS and routine statutory deductions.
Robust attention to detail and accuracy.
Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
Basic knowledge of MS Excel.
Ability to manage financial records and work within deadlines.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Eligibility
B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification.
2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
Candidates with experience in NGO/Trust accounting will be an added advantage.
No specific age or gender preference.
Pay: ₹24,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
