Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented design engineer to support the design and development of products and components in our manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will work closely with production, quality, and R&D; teams to create creative, efficient, and manufacturable designs that meet industry standards.

Reporting To: Design Head

Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for parts, assemblies, and tooling using software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA.
Collaborate with production and process teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.
Interpret customer specifications, standards, and requirements to develop accurate design solutions.
Perform design validation, tolerance stack-up analysis, and design for manufacturability (DFM).
Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including bills of materials (BOM), assembly instructions, and revision history.
Support prototyping, testing, and pilot production activities.




Participate in cross-functional meetings to address product development and process improvement.

Performance Expectations:
Accuracy and completeness of drawings and BOMs.
Timely delivery of design projects.
Collaboration and effective communication with cross-functional teams.
Suggest innovative solutions for cost, quality, and manufacturability improvements.
Continuous learning and adaptation to new technologies.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial design, or a related field.
Proven experience (1 to 5+ years) in mechanical design within a manufacturing environment.
Robust proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CATIA).
Knowledge of manufacturing processes (injection molding, machining, sheet metal fabrication).
Good understanding of GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

Qualification
BE / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Experience
1– 5 years of experience in design engineering or product design.
