RMO (Resident Medical Officer) – Job Responsibilities
Provide 24×7 medical coverage and first-line assessment of admitted patients.
Conduct initial patient assessment and document clinical findings.
Monitor vital signs, clinical status and response to treatment.
Review and follow investigation reports and promptly inform the consultant about significant abnormalities.
Implement and follow the consultant’s treatment plan and medical orders.
Maintain accurate progress notes, treatment records and clinical documentation.
Attend to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate emergency management.
Coordinate with nursing staff regarding medications, monitoring and patient care.
Ensure timely escalation of deteriorating or critically ill patients to the consultant/ICU team.
Assist in admission, transfer and discharge procedures.
Prepare/assist with discharge summaries and follow-up instructions.
Ensure proper handover between shifts.
Participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary coordination.
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection-control practices, patient-safety protocols and NABH requirements.
Maintain confidentiality, qualified ethics and respectful communication with patients and attendants.
Document and report adverse events, medication errors and clinical incidents as per hospital policy.
Coordinate with laboratory, radiology, pharmacy and other departments for timely patient care.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
