Role Description This is a full-time, in office Reporter role based in Delhi, India. The Reporter will research, gather, and verify information on legal and related developments, and produce clear, accurate, and timely news stories and reports.
Day-to-day tasks include conducting interviews, monitoring relevant news sources, attending events or proceedings as required, and preparing written and multimedia content suitable for digital and print platforms. The role involves collaborating with editors and other team members to refine story angles, ensure factual accuracy, and meet deadlines.
The Reporter is expected to maintain ethical journalistic standards, follow editorial guidelines, and contribute ideas for ongoing coverage and special features.
Qualifications
Strong Reporting skills, including information gathering, verification, and story development
Excellent Writing and News Writing abilities, with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and engaging storytelling
Effective Communication skills, including interviewing, source management, and collaboration with editorial teams
Basic to intermediate Multimedia skills, such as handling images, short video clips, or audio for digital publishing
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
Ability to work in office in Delhi, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple assignments
Strong ethical judgment and familiarity with journalistic standards and media law basics
Prior experience in reporting, especially in legal, business, or public affairs topics, is an advantage
Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional regional languages is beneficial
