MathCo is a data and AI analytics and solutions company. We're floating a recent role for someone who thinks in systems, not screens — designing end-to-end services and the systems behind them, then shaping experiences that make complex, AI-driven systems intelligible, trustworthy, and adopted. A hybrid of service design, systems thinking, and hands-on UX, with AI as a material you design with and for. /n What you will do: /n /n
Map complex service ecosystems end to end — actors, flows, data, decision points — and spot where AI adds leverage versus friction
/n
Turn systems insight into service blueprints, journey maps, and interaction models
/n
Design UX for AI products: conversation flows, human-in-the-loop, confidence and uncertainty, graceful failure
/n
Prototype and test with real users; iterate on evidence, not opinion
/n
Work upstream in solutioning — proposals, capability narratives,
POCs — so design intent lands early
/n /n What you will bring /n /n
High proficiency in systems thinking —interdependencies, second-order effects, leverage point
/n
Solid UX craft — research, IA, interaction design, prototyping; a portfolio of outcome
/n
Genuine AI fluency — design responsibly around model capabilities and limit
/n
Service design fundamentals: blueprinting, journey mapping, facilitatio
/n
Comfort in ambiguity; robust communication and cross functional facilitatio
/n /n Nice to have /n /n
Data products, dashboards, or analytics tooling
/n
Enterprise / B2B, multi-stakeholder engagements
/n
Design systems and prototyping tooling.
