Positive knowledge of medical coding systems, medical terminologies, regulatory requirements, auditing concepts and principles.
Ensuring accurate and complete documentation to support coding and billing.
Translating medical information into standardized codes.
Filling out claim forms or creating electronic submissions.
Sending the claims to the appropriate insurance companies or payers.
Tracking the status of submitted claims and addressing any denials or issues.
