Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Manager – Current Product Development (NPD) to lead the design, development, and commercialization of current products for a manufacturing company engaged in rubber hoses and brake pads supplied to automobile, railway, and defence sectors. The candidate will be responsible for developing cutting-edge products, improving existing products, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities
New Product Development

• Lead the complete NPD lifecycle from concept development to product commercialization.

• Develop recent rubber hose and brake pad products based on customer requirements and market demand.

• Conduct feasibility studies, product design, and prototype development.
Research & Material Development

• Work on rubber formulations, friction materials, and product design improvements.

• Evaluate new raw materials, compounds, and technologies to improve product performance.

• Conduct laboratory testing and product validation.




Product Testing & Validation

• Plan and conduct performance testing, durability testing, and validation trials.

• Ensure products meet technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Prepare test reports and product qualification documentation.
Customer Development Projects

• Work closely with OEM customers, railway authorities, and defence clients for new product approvals.

• Support technical discussions, product samples, and trials with customers.

• Manage product development timelines and milestones.
Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate with production, quality, purchase, and sales teams for successful product development.

• Support the production team during initial product trials and process development.
Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain complete product development documentation, drawings, specifications, and testing records.

• Ensure compliance with quality
