SENIOR MERCHANDISER – JOB DESCRIPTION

Department: Merchandising
Experience: 5–8 Years in Garment Export Industry

Job Purpose

To independently manage export orders from product development to shipment, ensuring timely execution, technical accuracy, quality, compliance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
Handle buyer communication, inquiries, orders and day-to-day follow-ups.
Plan and coordinate product development including Design, Proto, Fit, Size Set, PP, TOP and final approvals.
Review tech packs, measurements, construction details and buyer requirements to ensure technical accuracy.
Prepare and monitor the Critical Path and ensure timely completion of all development and production milestones.
Coordinate with Design, Sampling, Production, Planning, QA, Stores, Logistics and Commercial teams.
Ensure timely development and approval of fabrics, trims, accessories, printing, embroidery, washing and other processes.
Monitor production, quality and shipment schedules and proactively resolve issues.
Handle costing, price negotiation and margin improvement in coordination with the internal IE & Buying house Team.




Ensure compliance with buyer-specific, social, environmental and ethical standards such as BSCI, SEDEX, WRAP, C-TPAT, as applicable.
Ensure all buyer requirements, quality standards and required documentation are completed before shipment.
Handle buyer comments, quality issues, claims and order-related concerns.
Prepare and review order-wise MIS, costing, productivity, quality and delivery performance.
Build strong buyer relationships and support repeat business and new product development.

Required Skills
Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, trims, sampling and manufacturing processes.
Good understanding of Proto, Fit, Size Set, PP and TOP sample processes.
Strong buyer communication, negotiation and coordination skills.
Good knowledge of compliance requirements and buyer standards.
Solid planning, follow-up, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in MS Excel, email and merchandising systems.

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
