Job Title: Engineer - Transport Planning & Traffic Engineering

Job Summary

The Transportation Planner contributes to the development of traffic demand analyses and forecasts, transportation master plan studies, traffic impact studies, road safety assessments, etc. for non-complex projects. He works closely with senior project team members for the review and validation of deliverables to ensure the proper implementation of all client requirements. The jobholder shall stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in the transport planning and traffic engineering field and share his knowledge with his team members, as applicable.

Key Responsibilities
In depth knowledge in traffic engineering and transport planning
Knowledge of transport / land use planning, traffic modeling, ITS and other information systems
Familiarity with traffic modeling software,



such as VISUM, VISSIM, Synchro, MXROAD, SIDRA, HCS, Auto TURN, CUBE, etc.,
Solid operational modeling skills
Solid quantitative and analytical skills
Proficiency in spoken and written English; Arabic is an advantage

Experience & Qualification Required to Execute this Role
2+ years of industry experience in the transportation planning and traffic engineering
Master Degree in Transportation Engineering

Core Competency Required to Execute this Role
Experience in the transport planning and traffic engineering in a top tier regional / multinational engineering consultancy firm
Familiarity with development of traffic impact studies and traffic engineering plans
Experience in the Middle East is preferred
