Job Description Quality Inspector (Third-Party Associate)

Location: Supplier/Vendor Premises
Department: Quality Assurance
Products: Cooktops, Induction Cooktops, Heaters, Irons and other Small Domestic Appliances

Role Purpose

To ensure outgoing products meet quality, safety and performance requirements through pre-dispatch inspection (PDI), process monitoring and product validation activities.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct lot-wise Pre-Dispatch Inspection (PDI) and approve/reject lots as per quality standards.
Perform functional, cosmetic and dimensional inspection of finished goods.
Carry out electrical safety tests such as Hi-Pot, Earth Continuity, Insulation Resistance and Leakage Current tests.
Monitor manufacturing processes and verify compliance with work instructions and control plans.




Support product validation activities, including performance and reliability testing.
Use QC tools such as 7 QC Tools, Pareto Analysis, Fishbone Diagram, 5 Why and CAPA.
Prepare inspection reports and coordinate with supplier and company quality teams for issue closure.

Qualification & Experience

Diploma/B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or related disciplines with 2–5 years of experience in quality inspection or supplier quality for consumer appliances.

Required Skills

Knowledge of electrical testing, process quality, product validation, QC tools, engineering drawings and BIS/safety requirements.
