Role Overview

We are looking for a senior commodity derivatives trader to lead the
long side of our Commodity Long/Short strategy
, with a transparent pathway to independently managing a full-scale commodity long/short fund.

This is a
front-office, P&L-accountable; role
with end-to-end ownership of trade ideas, portfolio construction, risk management and investment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of the long-side strategy across commodity markets.
Generate and evaluate high-conviction trade ideas across
futures, options and spreads
.
Take full ownership of
position sizing, portfolio construction, risk management and P&L;
.
Develop investment views by synthesising
macro, fundamental and technical factors
.
Clearly articulate the thesis behind each trade, key risks, invalidation points and its role within the overall portfolio.
Build and scale the strategy independently, with a high degree of ownership and limited handholding.
Monitor market developments, portfolio exposures and risk on an ongoing basis.
Over time,



take ownership of the broader Commodity Long/Short strategy and progress towards a
leadership and investor-facing role
.

Experience & Qualifications
7–10 years of relevant experience
in commodity derivatives trading.
Solid experience across
futures, options and spreads
.
Experience across one or more commodity segments such as
energy, bullion, metals or agriculture
.
Demonstrable and
verifiable, attributable trading track record
.
Strong understanding of
MCX/NCDEX
and global commodity benchmarks including
COMEX, ICE and LME
.
Understanding of the Indian regulatory workplace, including
SEBI regulations and exchange margin frameworks
, would be an advantage.
Graduate/postgraduate degree from a
premier institute such as IIT, IIM, ISB, NIT or a global equivalent
.
