OnMeta is Looking for:
About The Role
We are looking for a backend engineer to build and maintain scalable backend services powering Onmeta's fiat on/off-ramp infrastructure. You will own specific modules end-to-end — from design to deployment — in a quick-moving fintech and Web3 product environment. This is a hands-on role with high ownership and no management layers.

What You'll Do
Build and maintain high-performance backend services in Go and/or TypeScript (Node.js)
Design scalable APIs and data models for real-time fiat-to-crypto transaction flows
Work with MongoDB and SQL databases (PostgreSQL or equivalent) at production scale
Implement caching strategies using Redis or equivalent




Develop event-driven systems using Kafka, SQS, or similar messaging technologies
Own infrastructure on AWS — including deployment, monitoring, and reliability
Improve system observability, performance, and scalability proactively

Must-Have Requirements
Production-grade experience in Go or TypeScript (Node.js) — Rust is not required
Hands-on experience with MongoDB (primary NoSQL store)
Solid working knowledge of SQL/relational databases (PostgreSQL or equivalent)
Practical AWS experience — the team runs exclusively on AWS
Familiarity with caching fundamentals (Redis or equivalent)
Experience owning features end-to-end in a production environment with no hand-holding
Comfortable working in an early-stage startup (pre-Series B) with fast pace and high ambiguity
Strong understanding of scalability — APIs and data models under real-world load

Good to Have
Experience in fintech or payments domain (
