Job description — Lead Generation Specialist

Reports to:
Head of Marketing

About the role:
Backtech is building outbound lead generation from the ground up. This role owns the full motion — from sourcing through qualified handoff.

Key responsibilities
Build and manage prospect lists in Apollo against a defined ICP (founders/entrepreneurs, C-suite, directors, SMB owners)
Run LinkedIn Sales Navigator outreach (connections, InMail) against the same ICP
Set up, launch, and manage cold email sequences in Instantly, including sending-domain warm-up and ongoing deliverability monitoring
Verify list quality (Apollo-native checks, ZeroBounce as backup) before any list touches a sending domain
Coordinate with our GHL lead on funnel routing so qualified leads flow cleanly into the pipeline
Report campaign performance (opens, replies, questionnaire completions) to the Head of Marketing
Run structured A/B tests on subject lines, messaging, and sequencing




Maintain data hygiene across Apollo, Instantly, and GHL

What you'll bring
Hands-on experience with Apollo.io or a comparable sales intelligence platform
Real working knowledge of cold email deliverability — SPF/DKIM/DMARC, domain warm-up, sender reputation — not just "I've sent cold emails before"
LinkedIn Sales Navigator experience for B2B prospecting
Comfortable reading campaign data and adjusting based on it
Robust written English — you'll be refining outbound copy aimed at US executives
Bias toward action; comfortable in a small, rapid-moving team

Nice to have
GoHighLevel (GHL) experience
Familiarity with Clay or similar enrichment tools
B2B services or staffing industry background
Has personally dealt with a damaged sending domain before and knows exactly what not to repeat
