Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled VMC Operator with 1–2 years of hands-on experience in operating Vertical Machining Centre (VMC) machines. The candidate will be responsible for machine setup, component machining, quality inspection, and achieving production targets while maintaining safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
Operate VMC machines as per production requirements and job specifications.
Set up machines, tools, fixtures, and workpieces accurately.
Load and unload components and ensure proper clamping.
Perform milling, drilling, tapping, boring, and other machining operations.
Read and understand engineering drawings and job dimensions.
Set and adjust cutting tools, offsets, and machining parameters.
Check component dimensions using vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measuring instruments.




Monitor machining operations and ensure required dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
Maintain production targets and quality standards.
Identify tool wear, machine abnormalities, and quality issues and report them to the supervisor.
Follow standard operating procedures and all safety guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping of the machine and work area.

Required Skills & Qualifications
1–2 years of experience as a VMC Operator.
Hands-on experience operating VMC machines.
Basic knowledge of CNC/VMC machining processes and cutting tools.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Knowledge of measuring instruments and dimensional inspection.
Basic understanding of tool offsets and machine settings.
Valuable knowledge of shop-floor safety practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Candidate Profile
ITI/Diploma in Machining, CNC/VMC, Fitter, Turner, or a related technical trade preferred.
