Position: Chemist
Department: Quality Control / R&D;

Reporting To: QC / Production Head

Job Purpose

We are looking for a Chemist to support quality control, testing, process monitoring, and laboratory activities for our bio-compostable products and paper-based packaging products. The candidate will be responsible for testing raw materials, in-process materials, finished products, and maintaining laboratory records as per company quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct chemical and physical testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
Perform quality testing of compostable/biodegradable materials, films, bags, and paper-based products.
Check incoming raw materials and verify them against approved specifications.
Monitor product quality during production and report any deviations to the concerned department.




Conduct tests related to moisture, thickness, GSM, density, pH, viscosity, tensile properties, appearance, and other applicable parameters.
Maintain proper laboratory records, test reports, inspection reports, and quality documentation.
Prepare and maintain COA/Test Reports as required.
Support R&D; and product development trials for current compostable and paper-based products.
Assist in troubleshooting quality issues and identifying possible root causes.
Coordinate with Production, QC, R&D;, and Purchase teams regarding material and product quality.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of laboratory chemicals and testing materials.
Follow laboratory safety procedures, PPE requirements, and chemical handling practices.
Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of laboratory equipment.
Support internal quality audits and implementation of corrective/preventive actions.
