Role & responsibilities
Purchase raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and other supplies as per approved specifications.
Source and evaluate approved/qualified vendors and obtain quotations.
Negotiate price, quality, delivery timelines, and payment terms.
Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) and maintain purchase records.
Coordinate with QA, QC, Production, Stores, and Accounts for material requirements and approvals.
Ensure timely procurement to avoid production delays or stock-outs.
Monitor vendor performance, material delivery, and quality issues.
Ensure purchases comply with GMP, company SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain proper documentation, vendor records, quotations, and purchase reports.




Follow up on pending orders, rejected materials, and replacements.

Preferred candidate profile
Graduate in B.Com/BBA/Pharmacy/Science or related field.
25 years of experience in pharmaceutical/manufacturing purchase.
Knowledge of GMP, vendor management, and procurement processes.
Valuable negotiation, communication, and follow-up skills.
Proficient in MS Excel/ERP systems.
Solid planning, coordination, and documentation skills.
Ability to work under deadlines and maintain cost efficiency.
