Role & responsibilities
Drive B2B pharmaceutical export business development across African markets, with a solid focus on countries such as Nigeria, Ghana, Angola, Tanzania, Ethiopia and South Africa.
Identify, approach and develop new pharmaceutical importers, distributors, wholesalers and institutional customers across assigned African markets.
Leverage existing market relationships and build a strong network of pharmaceutical distributors and business partners.
Conduct regular on-ground market visits across Africa to identify business opportunities, understand customer requirements and strengthen distributor relationships.
Develop recent markets and territories by evaluating market potential, competition, pricing, product demand and regulatory requirements.
Identify and appoint suitable distributors / channel partners and develop long-term, sustainable business relationships.
Generate qualified business enquiries, prepare commercial proposals and convert opportunities into confirmed orders and repeat business.




Lead commercial discussions and negotiations covering product selection, pricing, payment terms, order quantities, margins and supply terms.
Manage and grow existing customer accounts while continuously identifying opportunities for cross-selling, new product introductions and higher business volumes.
Coordinate with internal teams including Regulatory Affairs, Product Management, Supply Chain, Production, Finance and Logistics for smooth execution of export business.
Work closely with customers and internal regulatory teams regarding product registrations, dossiers, documentation and market-specific regulatory requirements.
Monitor competitor activities, market pricing, customer movements and emerging pharmaceutical opportunities across African markets.
Prepare country-wise and customer-wise business development plans, sales forecasts, market visit plans and chance pipelines.
