Key Responsibilities
Understand business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
Prepare and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test checklists.
Perform functional, regression, integration, UI, and exploratory testing.
Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools.
Clearly communicate bugs with relevant steps to reproduce, screenshots, and supporting details.
Perform retesting and regression testing after defects are fixed.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members to resolve issues.
Participate in requirement discussions and provide testing inputs.
Maintain proper documentation of test cases and test results.
Ensure assigned testing activities are completed within timelines.
Continuously learn and adopt QA best practices and testing methodologies.
Required Skills
Basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
Good understanding of manual testing concepts.
Knowledge of different types of testing such as Functional, Regression, Integration, and Smoke Testing.
Basic knowledge of writing and executing test cases.
Understanding of defect life cycle and bug reporting.
Basic knowledge of SQL is an added advantage.
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Zoho, TestRail, or similar testing/bug-tracking tools is an advantage.
Valuable analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Valuable written and verbal communication skills.
Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Fresh graduates from the 2025/2026 batch are welcome to apply.
Candidates who have completed a Software Testing / Manual Testing certification or training program are preferred.
Candidates should have a solid interest in pursuing a career in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
