About the Role

URC Construction is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented
MEP BIM Design Engineer
to join our Corporate Office in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in
BIM-based MEP design and modelling
for building/construction projects and should be capable of coordinating MEP services with architectural and structural disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain
MEP BIM models
for building and construction projects.
Prepare and update BIM models for
HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection and other MEP services
.
Create detailed
2D drawings, layouts, sections and coordinated MEP drawings
from BIM models.
Coordinate MEP services with
Architectural and Structural BIM models
.
Identify and resolve
clashes/interferences
between MEP systems and other disciplines.




Participate in BIM coordination meetings and incorporate required design changes.
Prepare
shop drawings, coordinated drawings and as-built drawings
as required.
Ensure BIM models and drawings comply with project specifications, standards and design requirements.
Review models and drawings for accuracy, completeness and constructability.
Coordinate with Design, Planning, Execution and Project teams to resolve technical issues.
Maintain proper documentation and revision control of BIM models and drawings.

Required Skills
Hands-on experience in
BIM modelling and MEP design
.
Proficiency in
Autodesk Revit MEP
is mandatory.
Knowledge of
AutoCAD
and BIM coordination processes.
Positive understanding of MEP systems and building services.
Knowledge of
Navisworks
for clash detection and coordination will be an added advantage.
Ability to read and understand
MEP, architectural and structural drawings
.
Valuable coordination, communication and problem-solving
