About the Role

As a Patient Care Counsellor, you will act as a key link between consultants, patients, attenders, and hospital support teams, ensuring patients receive clear guidance, timely coordination, and a smooth healthcare experience after consultation.

Key Responsibilities

Post-Consultation Counselling
Read and understand doctors’ prescriptions and clinical notes accurately.
Explain prescribed procedures, diagnostics, and medication instructions to patients and attenders clearly and empathetically.
Coordinate diagnostics, procedures, and IP admissions as advised by consultants.
Document follow-up plans, procedures, and next-visit instructions.





Patient Coordination & Communication
Address patient queries professionally and empathetically.
Coordinate with the appropriate consultant or department whenever required.
Ensure patients understand their next steps and follow-up timelines.
Take ownership of patient follow-ups until closure.

Hospital Coordination & Operations
Coordinate with various hospital departments to ensure a smooth patient journey.
Work closely with consultants and internal teams to minimise patient waiting time.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely communication.
Handle patient information with professionalism and confidentiality.
