Project Type: Potential project — subject to client confirmation

Overview: We are exploring a potential project involving the conversion of scanned building data into accurate 2D layouts and structured GIS datasets. The role will involve interpreting point-cloud/scanned data, digitizing building features, and preparing GIS/CAD outputs according to defined standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Interpret and work with LiDAR/point-cloud data (LAS/LAZ).
Create accurate 2D building/floor-plan layouts from scanned data.
Digitize features such as walls, doors, windows, rooms, stairs, elevators and relevant fixed fixtures.
Work with ArcGIS Pro and GIS datasets.
Use CAD software for detailed 2D drafting where required.
Maintain consistent geometry, naming, structure and accuracy.
Perform QA/QC on completed work.
Follow project-specific standards and incorporate client feedback.
Track time and productivity to help establish project benchmarks.
Work collaboratively with the team to develop and improve the most effective workflow.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with ArcGIS Pro




Experience with AutoCAD
Familiarity with LiDAR/point-cloud data
Experience with Autodesk ReCap or CloudCompare
Knowledge of QGIS
Familiarity with LAS/LAZ, DWG/DXF and geodatabase formats
Understanding of coordinate systems and GIS data management
Solid attention to detail and spatial accuracy
Ability to interpret architectural/building layouts

Positive to Have:
ArcGIS Indoors experience
FME / Feature Manipulation Engine
LAStools
Experience converting point clouds into CAD/GIS deliverables
Experience working with large datasets
