Role & Responsibilities:
Maintain the company's complete books in Tally, independently
Record fabric and trim purchases, job-work bills, sales invoices and expenses
Manage accounts payable and receivable, and follow up on collections
Prepare GST returns and reconcile GSTR-2B against the books
Handle TDS computation, challans and return support
Carry out bank reconciliations and track cash flow
Reconcile vendor, customer and job-worker accounts
Run the monthly close, ledger scrutiny and closing entries, and prepare MIS for management
Preferred Candidate:
3+ years handling a company's accounts in industry, not in a CA firm
Experience running a full set of books independently, rather than one section of them
Tally, hands-on and daily
GST return preparation and reconciliation
TDS computation and filing support
Excel at the level of reconciliations and MIS
Manufacturing accounting experience is an advantage, particularly garments, textiles or job-work based production
Note:
Lower Parel, Mumbai. Monday to Saturday, 10.00am to 6.00pm, fully in office
This is a single-handed accounts function.
The appointment is made through a chartered accountancy firm, which supports the role on technical and compliance matters. The place of work is the manufacturer's Lower Parel office
Candidates whose experience is entirely inside a CA firm are not a fit. This role needs someone who has run a company's own books
