Role description

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer with 4+ years of experience in Mainframe Testing and API Testing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in testing mainframe applications, validating APIs, executing end-to-end test scenarios, and ensuring high-quality software delivery. The role requires solid analytical skills, defect management experience, and the ability to work in an Agile workplace.

Key Responsibilities
Mainframe Testing
Perform testing of Mainframe applications involving CICS, DB2, IMS, VSAM, and JCL.
Validate batch processing and online transaction systems.
Analyze requirements and prepare detailed test scenarios and test cases.
Execute functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
Validate file processing, data integrity, and database updates.
Perform defect analysis and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
Support release validation and production implementation activities.
API Testing
Design and execute API test cases for REST and SOAP services.




Validate request/response payloads using JSON and XML formats.
Perform integration and end-to-end testing across applications.
Verify API authentication, authorization, and error handling.
Execute API regression testing and defect tracking.
Review API specifications and documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI).
General QA Activities
Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test execution reports.
Log, track, and manage defects through closure.
Participate in requirement reviews and Agile ceremonies.
Ensure adherence to quality standards and testing best practices.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery.
