Senior Data Governance Engineer

About the Role

The Senior Data Governance Engineer is the technical architect of data governance infrastructure at Genesys, responsible for building scalable, production-grade governance systems across Snowflake and AWS. You will design and implement governance-as-code,



architect secure multi-tenant access control, optimize platform cost and performance, and enable self-service data access at enterprise scale.

This role bridges governance policy and platform engineering. You will own infrastructure automation, compliance automation, and platform reliability, translating governance requirements into durable, auditable systems.

Key Responsibilities
Snowflake Platform Architecture & Governance
Design and enforce security frameworks around RBAC (functional vs. access role patterns), network policies, authentication policies, and energetic data masking
Architect cost optimization strategies, including warehouse sizing, compute virtualization, resource monitors, query tagging, and reserved capacity planning
Own data masking and compliance controls, implementing row-level access policies, column-
