Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's/Master's in Library & Information Science (BLIS/MLIS) is mandatory.
23 years of experience working in a school library is preferred.
Hands-on experience with KOHA Library Management System is mandatory.
Valuable knowledge of library classification, cataloguing, accessioning, and circulation procedures.
Positive computer proficiency and documentation skills.
Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to interact effectively with students, teachers, and school management.
Well-organised, responsible, and detail-oriented.

Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of the school library efficiently.
Maintain and organise books, reference materials, periodicals, journals, and other library resources.
Handle library cataloguing, classification, circulation, accession, and stock verification.
Manage library records and databases using KOHA Library Management System.
Issue and return books and maintain accurate circulation records.




Assist students and teachers in locating appropriate books and learning resources.
Develop and maintain an updated library collection in accordance with the academic curriculum.
Conduct regular stock audits and physical verification of library resources.
Maintain discipline and ensure proper utilisation of library facilities by students.
Coordinate with teachers to support reading programmes, research activities, and curriculum-related requirements.
Encourage students to develop regular reading habits through book displays, reading activities, and library programmes.
Maintain records of damaged, lost, or obsolete books and recommend replacement or disposal where required.
Prepare periodic reports related to library usage, book circulation, stock, and other library activities.
Ensure the library remains clean, organised, student-friendly, and conducive to learning.
