Position Purpose
The Supply Chain Manager owns end-to-end supply chain performance for SAIFCO — from paddy procurement through milling, quality assurance, warehousing and logistics — ensuring consistent product availability, cost efficiency and quality compliance across the distribution network.
The role is responsible for planning, vendor management, inventory control, logistics execution, problem-solving and team leadership, working closely with the Sales & Distribution team (ASM/ADM network) to ensure demand is met reliably and profitably.
Primary Objectives
Ensure uninterrupted paddy / raw material procurement at optimal cost.
Maintain processing, milling and quality standards.
Optimize warehousing, inventory levels and storage cost.
Ensure timely, cost-effective logistics to depots, distributors and markets (including Delhi NCR).
Build reliable vendor, mill and transporter relationships.
Ensure statutory and quality compliance (FSSAI and related certifications).
Support the sales team with consistent stock availability and order fulfillment.
Scope of Responsibility
The Supply Chain Manager owns complete responsibility for:
Raw material (paddy) sourcing & procurement planning
Vendor and mandi relationship management
Mill / processing coordination
Quality control & food safety compliance
Inventory & warehouse management (Delhi + regional depots)
Distribution & logistics planning
Transporter / 3PL management
Cost optimization
Demand-supply planning (with Sales)
Stock forecasting
Regulatory / statutory compliance
Cross-functional coordination
Key Responsibilities1. Procurement Planning
Prepare procurement plan aligned with sales / demand forecast.
Identify, empanel and negotiate with vendors and mills.
Plan seasonal paddy sourcing.
Monitor price trends and define buying strategy.
Coordinate contract / farmer tie-ups where applicable.
Plan and manage raw-material purchase budget.
