Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Production / Factory Manager to take complete ownership of factory operations for heavy fabrication and engineering manufacturing.

The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end production, planning, manpower, quality, safety, productivity, maintenance coordination, cost control and timely dispatch. The ideal candidate should be a hands-on factory leader with robust practical knowledge of heavy fabrication and shop-floor execution.

Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day factory and production operations.
Plan and execute production as per project priorities and delivery schedules.
Prepare production schedules, work-Centre loading plans and daily/weekly/monthly targets.
Coordinate with Projects, Planning, Design, Purchase, Stores, QA/QC, Maintenance, HR and Logistics.




Ensure availability of drawings, BOMs, materials, consumables, tools and manpower before production.
Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks and take corrective actions.
Manage cutting, forming, fit-up, welding, machining, assembly, inspection, surface treatment, packing and dispatch.
Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs, QAPs and customer requirements.
Control rework, rejection, weld defects and material wastage.
Manage supervisors, production engineers, welders, fitters, fabricators, operators and contract manpower.
Ensure proper manpower deployment and improve shop-floor productivity.
Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance of cranes, welding machines, cutting machines, compressors, rolling/bending machines and other equipment.
Ensure protected working practices for welding, gas cutting, lifting, cranes, working at height and material handling.
