RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure process safety assessment of Lab developed API and its intermediate.
Ensure safe lab workplace and adherence of the group to EHS rules and programs.
Conduct preliminary and detailed chemical reaction hazard assessments for scale-up and Tech transfer.
Provide relevant process safety analysis data to derive meaningful conclusions and safety controls.
Responsible for conducting assessments related to operational and powder safety. (Combustibility, static electricity hazards, dust explosion, flammability hazards etc.
Serve as a Central point Coordinator for Safety at R&D; & API units.
Prepare process safety report of current as well as existing plant process and share the same with plant for preparation of HAZOP
Review HAZOP and risk assessment report for recent and existing processes.
Develop safety standards/procedures,
and SOPs to ensure that they are appropriate and fit for the purpose of investigating process safety incident.
Perform experiments and data evaluation of test results from: DSC, RC, ARC, TSU, ARSST, etc.
Provide training for chemists & engineers in process safety.
Emergency Response Planning: Develop emergency plans for incidents like chemical spills and fires. Coordinate with local teams.
DESIRED SKILLS
Experience in process safety implementation, assessment, and management in a reputed pharmaceutical industry
Must have knowledge of compliance and GMP related requirements.
Organized and detail-oriented, with strong time management abilities.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrates a high sense of responsibility, self-motivation, and teamwork while effectively planning and executing tasks independently.
