Role & responsibilities
Perform Alumino Thermit (AT) welding of railway rails as per approved procedures.
Prepare rail joints, align rails, install moulds, preheat rails, and carry out welding and grinding operations.
Inspect weld quality and ensure compliance with RDSO/Indian Railways standards.
Operate welding equipment, gas cutting, and grinding tools safely.
Maintain welding records, material consumption, and daily work reports.
Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and track maintenance teams.
Follow all safety procedures and maintain housekeeping at the worksite.
Travel to project sites across India as required.
