Asst Manager Pharma Warehouse
Job Summary
The Manager – Pharma Warehouse is responsible for managing warehouse and storage operations, ensuring accurate inventory control, maintaining regulatory compliance (GMP/GDP and applicable local regulations), and leading a team to achieve safe, effective, and timely distribution of pharmaceutical products.
Key Responsibilities
This job requirement is suitable for pharmaceutical manufacturing plants:
Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, MM/WM, Oracle and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and warehouse reporting.
Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Valuable Distribution Practices (GDP), and company SOPs.
Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and periodic stock verification.
Monitor storage conditions, including temperature and humidity, for pharmaceutical products.
Ensure FEFO/FIFO inventory practices are followed.
Coordinate with production, quality assurance, procurement, logistics, and sales teams for day to day operations.
Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Oversee warehouse documentation and maintain audit readiness.
Lead internal and external regulatory audits.
Manage warehouse staff, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and development.
Ensure workplace safety and compliance with EHS guidelines.
Optimize warehouse Dispensing operations and storage utilization.
Monitor warehouse KPIs and prepare management reports.
Manage third-party logistics (3PL) operations where applicable.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
Qualification, Experience and required skills :
Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Life Sciences, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred.
8–12 years of warehouse experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, MM/WM, Oracle and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and warehouse reporting.
Leadership and team management skills.
Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
May require shift work depending on business operations.
