Government Relations | Pre-Bid Business Development | GeM & E-Procurement
Role ObjectiveTo develop and maintain relationships with government departments, PSUs, institutions and procurement officials; identify upcoming IT requirements before tenders are released; coordinate legitimate pre-bid activities and solution discussions; and convert these prospects into business through GeM and government e-procurement portals.
Key Responsibilities1. Government Department Relationship Building
Regularly visit government departments, PSUs, autonomous bodies and government institutions.
Develop qualified relationships with relevant procurement, IT, administration and user departments.
Understand upcoming IT requirements, budgets, projects and procurement plans.
Maintain regular follow-ups and department visit records.
Build KN Computers as a known and reliable IT solutions vendor.
Pre-Bid Business Development




Identify upcoming requirements before tender publication through legitimate market intelligence and department interactions.
Understand the department‘s technical and commercial requirements.
Coordinate with KN Computers‘ technical/pre-sales team to propose suitable solutions.
Track DPRs, budget approvals, technical specifications and procurement plans where publicly/legitimately available.
Monitor opportunities from concept → approval → tender → award.
GeM & E-Procurement
Monitor GeM, CPPP and relevant state/department e-procurement portals.
Identify relevant tenders and bids for IT hardware, networking, servers, security, CCTV, POS, printers, AV, AMC, etc.
Coordinate with the Bid Manager for tender participation.
Track corrigendums, pre-bid meetings, technical clarifications and bid timelines.
Ensure opportunities developed through department relationships are properly followed through the procurement process.
