We are a leading automotive manufacturing organization specializing in innovative seating systems and mechatronic solutions for global OEMs. We are looking for a energetic and experienced Program Buyer to drive sourcing and procurement activities for recent product development projects.

Position : Program Buyer

Experience: 4 - 7 Years

Location: Ambattur Industrial - Chennai

Industry: Automotive / Auto Components / Manufacturing /Motors / Actuators

Job Responsibilities
Lead procurement activities for new product launches and automotive programs.
Manage end-to-end sourcing for automotive components including:
Seat Motors
Actuators
Motor Components
PCB/PCBA/ECU
Electronic Components
Precision Plastic Components / Metal / components
Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with project timelines and cost targets.
Conduct RFQ processes, supplier negotiations, and commercial evaluations.
Drive cost optimization initiatives through value engineering and supplier development.
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Program Management, and Supply Chain teams during product development.




Support APQP activities and ensure supplier readiness for program milestones.
Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and long-term sourcing arrangements.
Monitor supplier performance related to quality, delivery, cost, and capacity.
Identify, evaluate, and develop strategic suppliers globally and locally.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, automotive standards, and customer requirements.
Work On VAVE & VSM at Supplier End

Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automotive, or related).
4 to 7 years of experience in Automotive Procurement, Costing, Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing, or Commodity Buying.
Robust experience in supplier management and vendor development.
Hands-on expertise in RFQ management, Costing analysis, and Pricing negotiation.
Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and automotive product development processes.
Experience working with Tier-1 & 2 automotive suppliers or OEMs preferred.
