Job Description:

Key responsibilities
Develop and implement safety policies:
Create and update safety policies and programs to align with regulations and ensure a protected work setting.
Conduct risk assessments:
Identify potential hazards in the workplace and assess risks to prevent accidents before they happen.
Ensure compliance:
Monitor and enforce compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines and other relevant regulations.
Provide safety training:
Educate employees on safety best practices, the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and emergency procedures.
Inspect the workplace:
Perform regular inspections of the premises, machinery, and tools to identify and correct unsafe conditions.
Investigate incidents:
Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-misses to determine the root cause and implement corrective actions.
Promote a safety culture:
Encourage a positive safety culture through training, communication, and leadership, ensuring that all employees follow secure work practices.
Prepare reports:
Maintain safety records and prepare reports on safety performance, incidents, and audit findings.
