Job Summary:

The Area Sales Manager for Contemporary Trade (MT) will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing key contemporary trade accounts, and leading a team of sales professionals within a designated geographical area. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the up-to-date retail landscape, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies and plans specifically for modern trade channels to achieve and exceed sales targets (volume, value, distribution, and visibility).
Manage and nurture relationships with key modern trade accounts, including supermarkets, hypermarkets, and organized retail chains, ensuring strong partnerships and business growth.
Negotiate annual trade agreements, promotional calendars, pricing, and listing terms with contemporary trade buyers and category managers.
Lead, motivate, train, and manage a team of sales executives or merchandisers,



fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring effective execution of sales plans.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior within the up-to-date trade segment to identify new opportunities and threats.
Ensure optimal product placement, merchandising standards, and stock availability across all contemporary trade outlets.
Analyze sales data, market share, and profitability reports to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate closely with marketing, supply chain, and finance departments to align sales strategies with overall business objectives and ensure smooth operations.
Manage trade budgets and expenses effectively, ensuring optimal return on investment for promotional activities.
Identify and onboard recent modern trade accounts to expand the company's distribution footprint.
Prepare regular sales forecasts and performance reports for senior management.
