Senior Project Manager - IT

Roles & Responsibilities

Key responsibilities

- Plan, manage, and deliver IT projects on time, within scope, and within budget

- Collaborate with stakeholders - business, development, QA, and architecture teams - to define project goals and success criteria

- Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups to ensure efficient Agile/Scrum execution

- Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, identifying and resolving risks and issues

- Maintain detailed project documentation, including charters, plans, and status reports

- Mentor and lead a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment

Ideal Candidate

1Strong IT Project Manager Profile with cross-functional delivery and Agile/Scrum ownership and Insurance domain exposure

2Mandatory (Experience 1): Must have 6+ years of proven experience as an IT Project Manager, with atleast the recent 3+ years in insurance industry leading cross-functional teams and delivering IT projects on time, within scope, and within budget

3Mandatory (Experience 2): Must have experience collaborating with business, development, QA, and architecture teams to define project goals and success criteria

4Mandatory (Experience 3): Must have hands-on experience facilitating sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups for efficient Agile/Scrum execution

5Mandatory (Experience 4):



Must have experience monitoring project performance, identifying and resolving risks and issues, and maintaining detailed project documentation (charters, plans, status reports)

6Mandatory (Experience 5): Must have experience mentoring and leading a team of developers

7Mandatory (Skill 1): Must have strong command of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies (Fixed Bid project experience a plus)

8Mandatory (Skill 2): Must have excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal/communication skills to engage senior management and clients

9Mandatory (Skill 3): Must have solid analytical thinking - able to analyse complex problems, identify solutions, and make informed decisions

10Mandatory (Tools): Must be hands-on with JIRA, MS Project, and similar tools

11Mandatory (Domain): Insurance domain expertise - IT projects within insurance, with an understanding of processes, regulations, and customer needs

12Mandatory (Note): Candidate should be willing to work during EST shift (9.30 PM-6.30 AM) if needed as the client is based in US and they have US clients

13Preferred (Commercial): Experience managing gross margins, project cost, P&L;, and profitability.

14Preferred (Certification): PMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum Master certification

15Preferred (Domain Knowledge): Familiarity with digital transformation, automation, and emerging technologies in insurance
