Job Description

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Design Lead – Solar (Civil / Structural), to join our team, to be based in Chennai, India. This position is responsible for reviewing & executing Engineering Activities of Civil/Structural Engineering of Solar PV Power Plants.

He / She shall facilitate the modellers in development of BIM 3D Model for PV Solar Power plants.

Key Responsibilities:

/n

- Timely Delivery of Engineering Drawings & Documents

/n

- Ensure deliveries are aligned to Project Schedule

/n

- Review drawings by Design Engineers & Draughts Persons. Checking of design & sizing calculations of engineering electrical equipment and obtaining approvals from the client

/n

- Review of Vendor deliverables pertaining to Engineering

/n

- Capable of Multitasking and deliver multiple things on time

/n

- Estimate and Plan man-hour requirements

/n

- Review BOQ and submit to contracts team and providing technical clarifications

/n





- Coordinate with multiple disciplines for ensuring inter-departmental checks

/n

- Provide support & clarifications to the Site Execution team

/n

- Check pre-award evaluation of vendors (w.r.t. technical specifications requirement of the client) and forward the validation document to Supply Chain Management

/n

- Inspect equipment from the finalized vendor after submission of validation document of the vendor

/n

- Clarify issues w.r.t. the design & requirements of the client to the Site Execution Team

/n

- Collect inputs for project details (Soil report, boundary coordinates, Topo Survey etc.) from client & Section Head

/n

- Coordinating with Operations team and informing Design specifications for obtaining approval

/n

Minimum Qualifications

/n

B.E. / B. Tech in Civil / Structural Engineering

/n

7–10 years (Must have experience in design aspects of Solar PV Power Plants / Power Distribution Projects)
