Delhi Public School is seeking a dynamic, qualified, and energetic female Physical Education & Yoga Instructor to join our physical education department. The candidate will be responsible for encouraging physical fitness, discipline, and mental well-being among students by planning and executing age-appropriate sports, athletics, and yoga sessions aligned with the CBSE physical education curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

/n

Physical Education & Sports Instruction:

/n

Plan, organize, and conduct daily Physical Education classes in accordance with CBSE guidelines.

/n

Train students in outdoor and indoor sports, track and field events, and general fitness routines.

/n

Identify student athletic talent and coach teams for inter-house, inter-school, and CBSE cluster tournaments.

/n

Yoga & Wellness Instruction:

/n

Conduct structured yoga, pranayama, and mindfulness sessions to foster physical flexibility and stress management among students.

/n

Design customized routines suitable for different age groups (Primary through Senior levels).

/n

Classroom & Campus Discipline:

/n

Maintain student discipline during sports periods, assemblies, sports day practice, and outdoor school events.

/n





Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols during all physical activities and games.

/n

Event Coordination & Administrative Duties:

/n

Assist in organizing Annual Sports Day, inter-house competitions, and yoga celebrations (e.g., International Yoga Day).

/n

Maintain inventory records of sports equipment, fitness gear, and first-aid kits.

/n

Evaluate student physical health parameters and maintain progress reports as required by the CBSE board.

/n

Education:

/n

Bachelor's or Master's in Physical Education (B.P. Ed / M.P. Ed) from a recognized university.

/n

Certification or Diploma in Yoga Instruction / Yogic Studies from a recognized institute.

/n

Experience: 1–5 years of experience teaching Physical Education and Yoga in a CBSE or reputed English-medium school (Freshers with robust practical skills may also be considered).

Skills:

/n

Strong command over spoken English and effective communication skills.

/n

High energy levels, enthusiastic attitude, and excellent classroom management.

/n

First Aid certification is preferred.
