Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer Location: Kolkata

Job Summary: We seek an experienced Structural Design Engineer with expertise in the Design and Engineering of Blast furnace complexes, BOF complexes, Material handling structures, and other Metallurgical projects to join our team.

/n

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in structural design, specifically in steel structure (Iron making and Steel making) using the software STAAD pro and having overall knowledge about steel plants. Key Responsibilities:

/n

 Analysis and design of various technological structures of ironmaking (special Blast furnace), including Industrial sheds, Material handling units, and Chimneys.

/n

 Develop structural arrangement based on Mechanical GA.

/n

 Develop the STAAD model and analyze and design of structure.

/n

 Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to meet project schedules and requirements.

/n

 Developing connection design and detail ofsteel structures.

/n

 Preparation of estimation, Specification, tender document, BOQ, QAP, and support proposal team.

/n

 Proficiency in STAAD, AutoCAD, and various IS (must have) /European/American/ British codes.

/n

 Attending meetings with Internal and external customers.





/n

 Engaging outsourcing partners and co-ordination with them.

/n

 Communication skills in English, and Hindi both Verbal and written.

/n

/n

Required Skills:

/n

 Proficiency in STAADPro (Mandatory) and Structural Design engineering.

/n

 Knowledge of software tools:

/n

o AutoCAD

/n

o Tekla

/n

o Navisworks

/n

o BIM 360

/n

o MS Office

/n

o Excel

/n

 Comprehensive understanding of structural design principles, fabrication drawing, and connection design.

/n

Qualifications:

/n

 B. Tech /B.E in Civil Engineering or M.E /M. Tech in Structural Engineering.

/n

 10–15 years of industry experience, preferably in structural design for steel structures (Iron making and Steelmaking). Preferred Background:

/n

 Experience in Design & Engineering in the Steel Industry preferably in BF complex.

/n

 Proven ability to work independently under time constraints and adapt to diverse working environments.

/n
