Job Description

The Senior Quality Engineer – NPD will be responsible for managing quality activities during current product development, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, automotive quality standards, and successful PPAP approvals. The role requires strong hands-on experience in automotive NPD projects, especially sheet metal components.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage quality activities for New Product Development (NPD) projects
- Coordinate and prepare APQP documentation including DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow, etc.
- Independently handle PPAP submissions and ensure timely customer approvals
- Participate in design reviews, feasibility studies, and risk analysis
- Ensure customer-specific requirements are understood and implemented
- Support prototype, pilot, and mass production quality activities
- Conduct and review MSA studies (GR&R;, Bias, Linearity, Stability)
- Manage advanced measuring instruments, calibration activities, and traceability




- Ensure proper gauge selection, validation, and gauge control
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions using tools like 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone
- Support internal audits, customer audits, and system compliance
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Design, Production, Tool Room, Supplier Quality)
- Ensure continuous improvement in quality performance and process capability

Required Skills & Experience

- Minimum 4–4 years of experience in Automotive Quality / NPD
- Strong hands-on experience in automotive NPD projects
- Mandatory knowledge of APQP & PPAP
- Sheet metal product experience will be given high priority
- Strong knowledge of MSA, SPC, calibration systems
- Hands-on experience with advanced measuring instruments
- Good understanding of gauges, gauge control, and validation
- Familiar with IATF 16949 quality systems (preferred)

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
