A Senior Scrum Master / Agile Delivery Lead responsible for driving Agile delivery across large, distributed teams. The role focuses on coaching Agile practices, enabling delivery excellence, removing impediments, and ensuring alignment between business and technology stakeholders .
Key Responsibilities
Job Description
Facilitate all Agile ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives
Drive Agile maturity and coach teams on Scrum principles and best practices
Work closely with Product Owners on backlog prioritization and refinement
Remove impediments and manage risks impacting delivery timelines
Enable robust stakeholder coordination and communication across teams
Track sprint progress, metrics, and ensure predictable delivery
Mentor team members and promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
Handle multi-team / distributed Agile programs (scaled Agile context – SAFe preferred)
Skill Requirements
Mandatory Skills (Must Have)
1. Agile & Scrum Expertise
Strong hands-on experience in Scrum framework, ceremonies, and artifacts
Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, XP)
Ability to coach teams and improve Agile maturity
2. Delivery & Program Management
Proven experience in large-scale Agile delivery / program management
Deep understanding of SDLC and software delivery lifecycle
Strong experience in risk management and dependency tracking
3. Stakeholder & Leadership Skills
Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills
Ability to manage cross-functional and distributed teams
Strong decision-making and leadership capabilities
4. Tools & Metrics
Hands-on with JIRA
Experience with Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time)
Good to Have Skills
1. Scaled Agile & Enterprise Delivery
Experience in SAFe / Large Scale Agile frameworks
Exposure to multi-vendor / global delivery models
2. Technical & DevOps Exposure
Basic understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing
Background in Java / .NET or engineering delivery (for technical teams)
3. Domain Expertise (Very Relevant for You – BFSI)
Experience in banking / payments / financial services (highly preferred for Citi/HCL context)
Knowledge of regulatory-driven environments and secure delivery
4. Advanced Agile Practices
Experience in Agile coaching / transformation initiatives
