Gold Appraiser

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and experienced Gold Appraiser to evaluate gold ornaments accurately and efficiently for gold loan transactions. The candidate will be responsible for assessing the purity, weight, quality, and value of gold while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Appraise and evaluate gold ornaments for purity, weight, quality, and value.

- Conduct gold purity testing using appropriate testing methods and equipment.

- Identify genuine gold and detect impurities, foreign materials, or potential discrepancies.

- Calculate the eligible loan amount based on the assessed gold value and company guidelines.

- Ensure accurate weighing and documentation of gold ornaments.

- Maintain proper records of gold appraisal and related transactions.

- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety/security guidelines.

- Handle customer interactions professionally and explain the appraisal process when required.

- Coordinate with Branch In-Charge/Branch Manager regarding gold appraisal and loan-related activities.

- Ensure proper custody and handling of gold ornaments during the appraisal process.

- Report any suspicious, damaged, counterfeit, or irregular ornaments immediately to the concerned authority.





- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all gold-related transactions.

Eligibility & Qualifications

- Minimum qualification: Plus Two / Degree preferred.

- Previous experience as a Gold Appraiser in a Gold Loan, NBFC, Finance Company, Bank, or Cooperative Society is preferred.

- Good knowledge of gold purity, karat identification, weighing, and valuation.

- Experience in gold loan appraisal will be an added advantage.

- Good communication and customer-handling skills.

- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

- Ability to work responsibly and maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in Gold Loan / NBFC / Finance Company / Cooperative Society / Banking sector will be given preference.

Salary

Salary: As per industry standards and candidate experience.

Reporting

Reports to: Branch In-Charge / Branch Manager

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
