Role: Responsible for seed testing, field trial data collection, seed research support, MS Excel-based data analysis, documentation and day-to-day office coordination related to technical and seed operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and record seed germination, vigour, purity and basic quality observations.
- Assist in planning and monitoring variety trials, demonstration plots and field trials.
- Collect crop and variety performance data such as plant population, plant height, flowering, maturity, disease/pest incidence, yield components and yield.
- Maintain accurate seed samples, trial records, observation sheets and technical files.
- Enter, organize and analyse research and field data using MS Excel.
- Prepare Excel-based comparative statements, charts, reports and dashboards for different seed varieties.
- Compare company varieties with competitor/check varieties and prepare performance summaries.
- Maintain seed inventory, sample records, trial schedules and other technical databases.
- Handle routine office documentation, data entry, filing, printing, correspondence and coordination related to seed research and operations.
- Coordinate with field staff, sales teams, dealers and farmers for collection of required field information.
- Support preparation of product/variety information, technical literature and internal reports.
- Perform other office and operational responsibilities assigned by management.
Qualification: B.Sc. Agriculture / M.Sc. Agriculture (Agronomy, Seed Science, Plant Breeding or related fields). B.Sc. Agriculture candidates are eligible.
Required Skills: Good knowledge of MS Excel, basic data analysis, positive numerical ability, accurate data entry, report preparation, documentation, communication and willingness to work in both field and office environments.
Experience: Freshers can apply. Experience in seed testing, field trials, agronomy, agricultural research or seed companies will be an advantage.
Ideal Candidate: A practical agriculture graduate who is comfortable with seed testing + field data + MS Excel + office work, and can maintain accurate records and convert field observations into useful reports.
Pay: Up to ₹200,000.00 per year
