Senior Accountant – Trading Group

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Trading Group in Muthukulam, Alappuzha District, Kerala.

The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, statutory compliance, financial reporting, inventory accounting, payroll, vendor management, and supporting internal and statutory audits.

The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of Tally Prime, SAP, Microsoft Excel, GST, TDS/TCS, and Indian accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage complete day-to-day accounting operations.
- Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Maintain general ledgers and perform regular ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS).
- Prepare monthly and quarterly P&L;, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements.
- Monitor company cash flow and outstanding receivables/payables.
- Prepare and review financial reports for management.
- Handle GST compliance, including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B.
- Manage TDS/TCS compliance and coordinate income tax-related matters.
- Ensure timely and accurate statutory filings.
- Coordinate with auditors and assist with internal and statutory audits.
- Maintain proper accounting documentation and internal controls.
- Monitor and reconcile physical stock with accounting records.
- Review inventory movements, stock valuation, and discrepancies.
- Manage employee payroll and related accounting entries.




- Monitor vendor payments and supplier accounts.
- Review accounting transactions and ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support management with financial analysis and accounting information.
- Coordinate with external consultants, auditors, banks, vendors, and other stakeholders when required.

Requirements

- B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification.
- 5–10+ years of relevant experience in accounting.
- Strong hands-on experience with Tally Prime / Tally ERP 9.
- Working knowledge of SAP.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, TCS, and Income Tax compliance.
- Positive understanding of Indian Accounting Standards (AS/Ind AS).
- Experience in trading, wholesale, distribution, or inventory-based businesses preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles.
- Excellent reconciliation and analytical skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to independently manage accounting activities and statutory deadlines.

Pay: ₹14,392.01 - ₹45,679.17 per month
